Event description

Description

This is the second class in a three-week series.

This three-week class will ground you in writing and meditation practice in a compassionate community. Make friends with yourself and your writing, work with fear and resistance, give and receive supportive feedback, and create fresh new work. Open to all.

Taking all three classes is recommended, but if you're only able to attend one or two, you are still very welcome. Sliding scale $15-35 per class, though no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Pre-registration required.

In our second class, we’ll dive more deeply into Mindful Writing. We’ll continue our meditation practice, engage in longer writing sessions, have the opportunity to share our writing in both small and large groups, and learn a more in-depth way of giving feedback.

About the Instructor:

Rebecca Jamieson has practiced creative writing and meditation for over a decade. She holds a BA in Writing, Mindfulness, and Psychology from Marylhurst University. Her writing has appeared in various publications, including Lion's Roar, Calyx, and Voicecatcher. She has a chapbook of poetry, The Body of All Things, from Finishing Line Press. Rebecca also facilitates workshops with Write Around Portland and teaches meditation at the Portland Shambhala Center.
