Event description

Description

Mindfulness is the journey of learning how to live and appreciate life in the present moment. Mindful Stress Management combines traditional mindfulness methods with clinically proven stress management techniques, self-care habits and relaxation practices.

The goal of each workshop is to learning to be self-aware in order to address the many stimulants in our lives and to respond to them in a balanced way. This can include:
- Deep breathing exercises
- Guided meditation
- Balancing statements

Over the next few weeks, we will discuss different mindfulness practices and stress management techniques to introduce into our daily lives. We will also work on different ways of prioritizing self-care consistently, focusing on:
- understanding how stress affects us individually
- keeping a weekly stress diary to identify our main stressors
- developing weekly goals and habits to apply when facing those stressors

Those who attend the workshops can expect active discussions, with input from other participants to provide an external perspective. This is important to understand how others currently deal with stress, what we can learn from them and where there is room for improvement. After each workshop, participants should feel, invigorated and prepared to take on the next week.
