Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) – an empirically-supported, 8-week, training program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion. MSC teaches core principles and practices that enable participants to respond to difficult moments in their lives with kindness, care and understanding.
Program activities include meditation, short talks, experiential exercises, group discussion, and home practices. The goal is for participants to directly experience self-compassion and learn practices that evoke self-compassion in daily life. For more information see www.compassioninspiredhealth.com
Classes are offered for 8 consecutive weeks and include a half day silent retreat scheduled mid way during the course. This is not therapy. It is a skill building course that will teach you the skills to manage difficult emotions, transform that critical voice, learn to motivate yourself with kindness and treat yourself with the same care and kindness you offer to others you care about.
