Event description

Description

This dynamic daylong workshop is designed specifically for educators, therapists and parents or caregivers who work with youth. In part one of the day, we will build an understanding of mindfulness as self-care with an opportunity to explore stationary and movement-based practices to deepen personal practice. The aim here is to support our frontline youth workers to become even more sustainable and prevent burnout.

Part two of the day will explore how to use simple, powerful techniques of mindfulness to develop social-emotional intelligence. We will steep participants into Seeds’ innovative Mindful Education approach. Participants will learn essential theory and practices that empower them to bring mindfulness into their work with young people. Along with developing an array of tools and strategies to teach mindfulness to young people in creative and engaging ways.
