Mindful Approach to Emotions and Communication is a class designed for children, parents, and/or caregivers to:
- Learn about emotions,
- Identify emotions,
- Feel emotions, and
- Communicate their emotions in a mindful way.
The class will include a short introduction to mindfulness, a technique and way of living that supports observation of emotions, the process of feeling and identifying emotions and intentional communication. The class will use principles from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). The class will include activities, experiential, lecture, and role-play.
Cost: $30 per person or $45 for parents/caregiver and child
This is a single class offered one evening for 2 hours.
Children age 6 or older, parents/caregivers. Parents/caregivers can attend with or without a child. Children must attend with a parent/caregiver.
