Event description
Learn a self-care method that helps you learn new mental and physical skills that you can apply to running and other activities in your life

About this Event

Join us at the NYRR RUNCENTER for this unique class taught by Barbara Curialle, a nationally certified teacher of the Alexander Technique. AT is a self-care method that helps you learn new mental and physical skills that you can apply to running and other activities in your life.

In this class, you will learn how to:

- Improve your running form

- Reconnect with the joy of running in a new way!

We’ll start with a few group activities and games designed to sharpen your awareness of how your mind and body work together. We’ll also do some body mapping: Where are those elbows and knees really? Then we’ll apply what you’ve learned to your running issues and even to your everyday activities. Questions are encouraged! Be prepared to think, work (not too hard!), have fun, and share ideas with your running colleagues in a caring, nonjudgmental atmosphere.
