Guest Speaker - Lynn Ross
Strategic Visions, Learning Administration, Operational Excellence, Training Programs, Strategic Planning, Process Excellence, as well as being LEAN / Six Sigma Green Belt Certified. January 1, 2013 – Current: Recently promoted as the GE Corporate Learning Administration Leader. I am responsible for the strategic vision for all GE Business’s Learning Administration processes. Accountable for the vision, mission and strategic roll out of a centralized administration model used by all GE personnel by Q3 2013.
HR L&D Learning Director: April 2011 – December 31, 2012 – direct responsibility for the strategic vision, development, and implementation for learning administration for the GE Healthcare business. Accountable for the vision and strategic implementation of a centralize administration model and course content governance. Directly accountable for a $540k annual budget for the learning administration for the business, as well as $6MM L&D Operations budget tracking and reporting. Chosen by leadership to lead a core team of experts in a deep dive to reduce the frequency and redundancy of eLearning, while increasing the impact of relevant courses to GEHC employees (2011 GE Initiative).
Own the LMS system (myLearning) and all validations, upgrades and interfaces. Collaborate with GE partners to ensure appropriate adult learning theories are introduced. Develop the long term governance strategy for myLearning in the future for social media. GE Quality Training Programs Director – October 2007 – March 2011: direct responsibility for the GE Healthcare Global Training Strategy of the Quality Management System rollout. Accountable for implementation of the phased approach to Quality training programs for all GE Healthcare registered medical device manufacturing sites. As Director, I was responsible for (7) site-level training managers who report directly to me.
Past experiences from August 1982 – September 2007: Designed FDA correlation Risk Plan for resources. Drove strategy for 100% readiness for Underwriters Lab audits. Executed 100% Field Service Quarterly Management Reviews. Lead service quality procedural writing for compliance. Taught Field Engineering Program training sessions for new hire engineers. Drove completion for 23 UL field audits. Executed auditor scoring for all Field Service ISO auditors. Integrated five zone field QARA leaders. Taught ISO Standards and Quality Systems to all new Field Engineers. Conducted global pilot programs for increasing competency management systems. Created escalation program for field training needs. Reduced SPAN reduction for training by 85%.
