Join us for this witty chamber music program by folk inspired composers.

About this Event

Folklore has inspired composers throughout the ages. Ranging from American to Asian tones, this program highlights a spectrum of folk genre influences.

Program:

E. Schulhoff: Concertino for Flute, Viola and Contrabass

B. Sheng: The Stream Flows for Solo Violin

S. Prokofiev: Overture on Hebrew Themes, Op. 34 for Clarinet, String Quartet and Piano.

F. Price: Five Folk Songs in Counterpoint for String Quartet

B. Martinu: Chamber Music No. 1 for Clarinet, Violin, Viola, Cello, Harp and Piano.
