Vegetables are not "side dishes" anymore. Travel the world to discover big flavors from vegetables including hot oil-flashed chard with ginger, scallions and chili; Thai-style coleslaw with mint and cilantro; French grated carrot salad and charred Brussels sprouts.
This is a three-hour hands-on cooking class led by Milk Street Cooking School educators. Please note: some of the recipes in the class use fish sauce or anchovies. If you are a vegetarian, please let us know.

Should I eat before class?
Yes! In this class we will taste recipes as we cook, but an hour or more may pass before the sampling begins. Around 8 p.m. we also will share a light dinner of the foods you make during the session.
What is the maximum number of students in class?
Different classes have different student/participant caps. Here are general guidelines for maximum student capacity:
- Hands-on cooking classes: 16
- Cooking demonstrations accommodate: 30
- Milk Street Sessions: 50
- Be Our Guest: 12
- Free monthly tour: 10
What can/can't I bring/wear to the event?
Please wear close-toed shoes and tie back long hair. You are welcome to bring a phone or camera. We will supply aprons and all cooking equipment/tools. However, if you prefer to use your own kitchen knife, you are welcome to bring it.
No pets allowed.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Yes. All students must be 18+ years old. Students 14-17 years old are welcome to participate with an adult guardian or parent.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Is my registration/ticket refundable or transferrable?
Yes. Tickets are refundable up to seven days before an event and transferable to another student at any time. Within seven days of the event, we do not offer refunds.
