About this event

Our workshops are specifically created for military, veterans, and their families! Each workshop is set up in a small interactive setting, to encourage a supportive environment, and to enhance communication, and provide the opportunity for practicing skill-building activities.

Our workshops are a great way to be interactive with a group that has been through many of the same trials and tribulations that come with serving our country! Whether your new to the military, transitioning from the military, a veteran, a partner or caretaker our workshops are here to support you!

Lets work together to support our military and veteran families within our community! Our workshops are here to support reducing isolation, increase self empowerment, and well-being!

Each month we provide a new topic to discuss!

August 2022: Stress Solutions: This workshop helps participants with stress management through learning the signs of stress, practicing relaxation techniques, discussing sleep issues, learning to help others and changing the way you think about stress.

September 2022: Emotional Grit: This workshop helps participants recognize and understand the different thoughts, feelings and behaviors that contribute to and define depression. It aims to break down stereotypes and misconceptions about depression and how to approach it. It helps participants identify symptoms and set attainable self-care goals and managing emotions.

October 2022: Defusing Anger: This workshops helps participants to aim to normalize anger trigger points due to change or daily stressors. It helps participants identify and improve personal skills to manage and understand anger.

June 2022: Caregivers of Wounded, Ill and Injured Service Members and Veterans: this workshop is developed to address the unique needs faced by non-professional caregivers of service members and veterans. We provide techniques and activities to help participants address three common concerns among military caregivers: isolation, self identity challenges, and maintaining personal wellness.
