Military History Weekend 2012
Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM - Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 4:00 PM (EDT)
The fourth annual “Military History Weekend Show & Sale” has been scheduled for October 13-14 at the Holiday Inn Patriot in Williamsburg, VA. Begun in 2008, the event has become a “must-see” for local residents in the Tidewater area and a destination for military enthusiasts from as far away as California and Australia.
The event is designed as a way for civilians to salute our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen. As such, it features a variety of events and static exhibits, from a “boot camp” for kids aged 4-12, to presentations from notable veterans, to a display of vintage military vehicles. There is also a large vendor area where attendees can browse and purchase collectible toy soldiers, military history books, military models, and original military artwork from a variety of regional artists.
Military History Weekend is sponsored by The Toymaker of Williamsburg, The Virgina War Museum and leaders in the military history industry. Last year, 1,500 people attended the event.
Hours on Saturday are 10AM – 5PM and on Sunday 11AM — 3PM.
