Military 2 Manufacturing Fair
Date and time
Description
SUMMARY
The manufacturing sector in Illinois is in dire need of thousands of skilled workers, and military veterans are in a unique position to meet this demand. Illinois manufacturers are specifically looking for veterans who can bring soft skills and/or technical experience to their workplaces.
The "Mission: Military 2 Manufacturing" Fair, which is different from a traditional hiring fair, will serve to educate veterans and National Guard and Reserve members on available jobs, salaries and career paths available in advanced manufacturing and logistics. Participants will have a free, one-of-a-kind opportunity to network with training experts, like-minded business professionals, and meet veterans who have already made the transition to civilian positions in the manufacturing field. They will also meet employers and agency experts, who will help them develop a personalized plan to successfully transition into a manufacturing or logistics position.
