Description

Miguel Luciano is a multimedia visual artist born in Puerto Rico and working in New York, whose work explores themes of history, popular culture, social justice, and migration. In response to the recent tragedies and demand for political accountability in Puerto Rico, Luciano will be displaying a selection of works and documentation in Temple Contemporary. Luciano is currently an inaugural Civic Engagement Resident at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He has exhibited his work extensively at arts organizations and museums across the United States including The Institute of Puerto Rican Culture, Taller Boricua, and the Sugar Hill Childrens Museum. This event is organized in collaboration with the Tyler School of Art and Architecture Foundations Department.
