Migrations: A Dance Festival Celebrating Global Movements

Migrations is an annual dance festival in Austin, Texas, presented by the Migrations Team. Migrations 2023 will host instructors offering workshops (both online and in-studio) in a wide range of world dance and fusion dance styles, music, culture, and personal development.

Overview

For the safety and well-being of all attendees (instructors, vendors, volunteers, and participants), Migrations will be hosting a hybrid weekend of online and in-studio offerings (with strict safety measures). Please scroll down to see descriptions of the ticket options.

  • All workshops will be available online via Zoom (recordings available for 30 days after the end of the event).
  • Instructors may teach remotely or in-studio (our schedule and tickets note which instructors are remote or in-studio).
  • A limited number of in-studio spots will be available for each workshop (participants must follow local and state guidelines for health and safety).
  • The Friday and Saturday Gala Shows will take place in person--tickets will be required to attend.
  • If you purchase an ONLINE ONLY ticket after the live workshop has passed, you will still have access to the workshop recording for 30 days after the festival ends.

Ticket Options

  • IN-STUDIO - select this ticket option to attend a workshop in person at the Wyndham. The instructor may be in-studio or remote (noted in the ticket description) and the workshop will be livestreaming to online attendees via Zoom.
  • ONLINE - select this ticket option to attend a workshop online only (livestreaming via Zoom).

Pandemic Safety Measures

Migrations 2023 and all attendees will follow current state and local guidelines regarding pandemic safety measures.

If I attend in person, what are my transportation/parking options getting to the event? There is plenty of parking available at the Wyndham. The metro Austin area (Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville, etc.) offers multiple ride-share options to choose from if you want to explore our fantastic city.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable? Workshop and show tickets are transferrable - contact us at migrationsaustin@gmail.com with the subject line "Transfer Ticket" to arrange a transfer.

Can I update my registration information? If your information changes (phone number, email address, legal name, etc.), please contact us at migrationsaustin@gmail.com with the subject line "update my info" and we will assist you.

If I attend in person, do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No! Save a tree and DON'T print your tickets. Check in at the Arrivals Desk (a.k.a. Registration) at the Wyndham to pick up your show and workshop tickets - please bring a photo ID!

If I attend the workshops online only, how do I receive the link to the workshops on Zoom? Registered workshop participants will receive the Zoom Invitation via email and via their travel itinerary (i.e., weekend schedule) one week prior to the event.

What is the refund policy? Refunds are not available for workshop and show tickets. If you are unable to attend, you may post your ticket for sale on our Facebook page, in our Migrations Travelers Lounge Facebook Group, or make other arrangements to transfer your ticket to someone else; contact us at migrationsaustin@gmail.com with the subject line "Transfer Ticket" to arrange a transfer. Migrations reserves the right to refund ticket prices in the event that local health ordinances require the cancelation or modification of the event.

If I attend in person, are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? Minors ages 13-17 may register to attend workshops. All minors under the age of 15 must have a parent present at all times. A parent/legal guardian will be required to sign a liability waiver upon check-in.
