6:00p–7:00p Break
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Mini Film Festival

The Church at Mill Run welcomes award-winning feature film writer/director John David Ware, who will speak about the film industry and hear filmmaker pitches.

Short films from the 168 Film Project will screen, showcasing the best of the speed film competition. The TV Show “A Fresh Look at the Good Book” will premiere, featuring former CMR Pastor Eric Waters.

A "Pitching Ideas to Hollywood" clinic will be given to demystify the art of the pitch. Local filmmakers may pitch ideas or screenplays by completing their free registration. Any subject may be pitched, but the focus is on stories illustrating scriptural truths, on a maximum budget of $250K. There will be a Q & A for filmmakers regarding Hollywood and the upcoming 168 Competition.

Desirable low-budget pitches include films that are viable in the domestic as well as the international marketplace in the genres of Action, Adventure, Family, Mystery, Romance, Sci-Fi, True Story and Thriller. Matching funds are available for compelling screenplays.

John David Ware is an Ohio native and a Upper Arlington High School graduate. His latest feature is entitled Unbridled starring Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight) and TC Stallings from (War Room). Ware will announce the 15th annual 168 Film Project competition, which promises many new surprises. DVDs will be available for a small donation.
