Description
Get crafty with a hands-on watercolor workshop at Midwest Craft Con taught by keynote speaker Yao Cheng.
Discover the joy of watercolor painting in a whole new way with Yao, the artist and founder behind Yao Cheng Design! Yao will go over the fundamentals of mixing colors, share some techniques on how to create fun blends and textures, and how to make expressive strokes with your brushes. We will begin painting easy motifs such as circles and leaves before moving into more complex arrangements with floras and botanicals. The focus of this workshop is to learn how to paint watercolor in a fun and exciting way, you will learn how to “let go” and to enjoy the ease of creating an artwork with this medium. With a little bit of practice and some simple painting tips and techniques, you will be able to create a beautiful artwork with confidence and joy!
Materials and supplies are included in the cost of this 2-hour workshop. All students will also be taking home their own set of brushes, palette with paint and paper.
This workshop is an add-on for anyone attending Midwest Craft Con.
Note: We need to have at least 10 signups for this workshop to go ahead. If we don't reach the minimum signups by 2/9/2017, we'll fully refund the workshop fee to registrants.
