Event description

Description

They’re hated for the job they do. They’re hated because of the picture social and mainstream media paints of them. They once were regarded as heroes, now they’re targets for ambush. Our culture has gone from Mayberry to mayhem when it comes to the way our First Responders are treated and portrayed. Many are leaving the profession because they can no longer tolerate the societal atmosphere of hate. Spouses are asking their loved one to change professions out of fear for their life and the stress and worry of wondering if they’ll come home after their shift.

As First Response Chaplains, how do we minister to those who are experiencing this cultural war on First Responders? How do we reach out to not only the First Responder but the families of those brave men and women who lay their lives on the line daily?

That is the focus for the Midwest Chaplain Association’s Spring Summit: “The Chaplain & Cultural Awareness”
