About this event

We are bringing salsa back! Every Thursday evening from June 3 through August 5, enjoy a free outdoor salsa class. Each week, participants will learn from New York City's most eclectic salsa instructors. Then, show off your moves on the dance floor with a full hour of social dancing.

Midtown Dance is hosted and produced by Talia Castro-Pozo. Midtown Dance offers solo dance instruction on Tuesdays, and salsa instruction + social dancing on Thursdays. For the full schedule of classes, please visit: https://34thstreet.org/programs/salsa

Check-in begins at 5:45PM

Dance instruction begins at 6PM.

Social Dancing begins at 7PM.

Participants are welcome to bring their own partner, continue to dance solo, or dance with someone new! Participants will be given stickers to indicate their preferences. Participants must wear masks and maintain a safe social distance for the entirety of the event.

Pre-registration through Eventbrite is recommended. A limited number of walk-up spots will be available, and will be first-come, first serve.

Organizer 34th Street Partnership

Organizer of Midtown Dance: Salsa + Social Dancing

The 34th Street Partnership (34SP) is a not-for-profit, private management company organized as a business improvement district (BID). 34SP is funded by assessments on property within its boundaries, fees from Herald and Greeley Squares' concessions, and revenue generated by events in the squares. One of the most ambitious BIDs in the United States, 34SP receives no tax dollars, nor does it solicit funds from philanthropic donors. The public pays not one cent for the outstanding services and capital plant that the Partnership delivers.
