Midsummer Place Hosts the "Repair Don't Replace" Event, Organised and Run b

Join us this May half-term for three days of sustainable fun and expert fixes!

Midsummer Place is thrilled to announce the "Repair Don't Replace" event, a fantastic initiative organised and run by WD-40 Company, taking place from Thursday, May 29th to Saturday, May 31st, 2025, from 10 AM – 4 PM daily.

This FREE event, supported by WD-40 Company, local Repair Cafe groups, and Men in Sheds MK, is all about giving your beloved belongings a new lease on life. Discover how a little maintenance and expert help can make a big difference!

What can you bring to be fixed? From cherished children's toys and small appliances to cameras, bikes, clothing, and fabric goods – our expert volunteers from local Repair Cafe groups and Men in Sheds MK will be on hand to help. We even have opportunities for analogue watch repairs on some days!

Please Note: For safety and logistical reasons, we cannot accept microwaves, smart devices, or any item too heavy to be comfortably carried into the centre.

More than just repairs – it's a celebration of community and sustainability! Expert Help from Your Local Community: Repairs will be facilitated by the dedicated volunteers from local Repair Cafe groups, a global movement promoting repair over replacement. They'll be joined by our fantastic local charity, Men in Sheds MK, who provide a creative and inclusive space for DIY projects and skill-sharing right here in Milton Keynes. While Men in Sheds MK and local Repair Cafe groups are proud to support this event, please remember that the "Repair Don't Replace" event is organised and run by WD-40 Company.
