Event description

Description

Volunteers have the opportunity to give the gift of time by mentoring a child. Mentoring is a training ground to become a better leader and develop skills that a great leader must have. Join in the fun and exciting activities planned for you and a child at Lakeview Park (Middleton, WI) for the Middleton Seasons of Caring picnic.

Activities include fishing, reading, arts and crafts, sports and many more! Lunch and refreshments will also be provided.

Packers Community Learning Center (Packers), Northport Community Center (Northport), and Madison-area Urban Ministry (MUM) will bring youth from their programs to the Middleton Day of Caring picnic. Packers and Northport are community centers on the North Side of Madison that have many educational summer and after school youth programs. MUM offers a mentoring program for youth ages 4-17 who are impacted by parental incarceration. These groups also have a wide age range of youth programs for children ages 5-12.

When: Friday August 23rd, 2019 - 11:30am-3:30pm

Where: Lakeview Park - 6300 Mendota Ave.
