Event Details

Higher Achievement develops over 500 DC Metro area students into college-bound scholars through a rigorous, year-round program rooted in relationships at the right time: middle school. Please join us at Middle School Matters to take a tour of our mission and to learn how you can get involved. At this event, you will hear from Higher Achievement staff, board and volunteers. We look forward to seeing you there!

Please note that the Higher Achievement National Office is located approximately 3/4 mile from Woodley Park-Zoo Metro Station. There is limited on-street parking and a garage within a few blocks (2328 Champlain St NW).

In order to allow time to park and settle in, please arrive at 15 minutes before the start time, as the program will begin and end on time. Street and garage parking available in the area, as well.

Higher Achievement, DC Metro

Higher Achievement's rigorous afterschool and summer academic program closes the opportunity gap for middle school youth in at-risk communities. The program's proven model provides a rigorous year-round learning environment, caring role models, and a culture of high expectations, resulting in college-bound scholars with the character, confidence, and skills to succeed. On average, 95 percent of scholars graduate from high school on time.

Higher Achievement DC Metro was founded in Washington, DC in 1975 and currently operates seven achievement centers in Washington, DC and Alexandria, VA.
