Event description
A mentorship program that goes beyond journaling. Giving young girls tools to articulate and express themselves. March 2nd through May 31st

About this Event

Diamond Nicholson, a recent CSU Graduate, majoring in Human Development and Family Studies, has created a curriculum focused on the mental health of middle school girls.

The goal of the mentorship group is to educate young women on the importance of mental health, self-esteem, and healthy relationships among themselves, their parents, and God. One way Diamond would like to do this is by educating the girls on the importance and benefits of journaling. Many girls may not be fond of journaling, so, they'll also explore other ways of expressing themselves including poetry, crafts, physical movement, bonfires, retreats, etc.

4 girls will be allowed at the Y.E.A.A. center per session to allow for social distancing. Virtual Links for the workshops will be emailed to you before the first session.
