" Middle Eastern Women’s Coalition to End Child Marriage and Advance Women’s Rights "
The Shocking Truth: Throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), every sixty seconds one out of five young girls between the ages of seven and fourteen is coerced into marriage.
The goal of the Middle Eastern Women’s Coalition is to reform the barbaric practices of child marriage, honor killings ,genital mutulation ,and dress code restrictions by initiating a cultural and religious revolution throughout the region.
Our coalition features the following crusaders to end the practice of coerced child marriage:
Rabia Kazan: Turkish Women's rights activist aganist Child Marriage, President of the Middle Eastern Women’s Coalition and author of Angels of Tehran,
Adelle Nazarian: Iranian-American writer, filmmaker, Middle East expert and International human rights advocate
