Event description

Description

Gaming should be accessible to everyone, which is why Neil Squire Society’s Makers Making Change has partnered with the Microsoft One Week to host an accessible gaming switch buildathon event in 'the Garage' at the downtown Vancouver Campus

At this event, Microsoft staff members will learn how 3D printing and electronics skills can be used to build a variety of accessibility switches. These switches come in a variety of sizes and types and can be plugged into the Microsoft’s Adaptive Gaming Controller to help gamers of all abilities play video games.

We will be building the following switches, some of which are already part of the Makers Making Change Project Library:

Rain Drop Switch

AT Makers Keyswitch

Resistive Touch Switch

Light Touch Switch

Compact Switch

Note: Microsoft staff who attended the Switch Buildathon Event are also invited to register for the Electronics Arts Accessible Gaming Switch Buildathon as a “Maker Mentor”
