Doris Heitzmann, the Florida Friendly Landscaping™ community outreach coordinator will provide an overview of basic micro-irrigation principles. Participants will learn about the design, installation and maintenance of the systems and how to retrofit from a traditional irrigation zone to micro. We will also discuss the benefits of micro-irrigation and hydrozones. This workshop will cover the Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Water Efficiently-Principle. Incorporating micro-irrigation in your landscape can contribute to water conservation and reduced stormwater runoff.
