Description

A New Era for Trails in Michigan--Taking the Next Step

Join the Michigan Trails & Greenways Alliance Board of Directors for our 2017 Annual Meeting at Kensington Metropark's Nature Center.

Please note: Kensington Metropark requires a vehicle pass to enter.
Cost: $10 Daily Fee (or Annual County Resident Pass). Walkers, bicyclists, and inline skaters can enjoy free access to all Metroparks by entering through the park roads and hike/bike trails.

Schedule:

10:30 a.m. - Noon
Explore Kensington (Optional)

Park Interpreters are on hand to answer questions as you visit live animals such as turtles, snakes, fish and Ranger the Red-tailed hawk. Hand-feed small songbirds like chickadees and titmice or the fish in Kingfisher Lagoon. Shop for gifts, snacks, or a hot drink at the gift shop. Then head out to explore the over 700 acres of forests, fields, fens and swamps, on trails that vary in length from half-mile to two miles and can be combined to hike for as long or as short a walk as your time allows.

NOTE: Michigan’s Recreation Passport, purchased for your Michigan license plate, does not allow entry into the Metroparks. The Huron-Clinton Metroparks is a separate regional park system than the Michigan State Parks, and requires its own entry permit.
