About this Event

You read that right - Micheal Roe will be joined by original Scratch Band and 77s bassist Jan Eric for a very brief tour this coming March 2020. Due to scheduling commitments for both Michael and Jan, there are currently no plans to expand this tour beyond the planned 10 dates - so if you want to see this show, this will be your chance for the foreseeable future.

"Jan Eric and I practically lived out of each other's pockets in the 1980's. We played together, prayed together, ran an independent record company and recording studio, did concert bookings, radio promotion, answered fan mail, and also performed all over the US and Europe with The 77s and other Exit Records artists. And, while doing all that, we also managed to hold down full time jobs on staff at the church that bankrolled all this. I don't know how we did it all, but one thing that remained constant was our natural musical and personal camaraderie. On most occasions when everyone else was trying to be serious and get some work done, we were the guys in the back of the room laughing, telling stories and singing harmony on our favorite oldies. Since that time, Jan (like Mark Tootle) has become somewhat of a mythological figure amongst 77s fans (unless you were lucky enough to actually see us in concert back then). For years, I have wanted to share some of those stories, songs and laughs between Jan and myself with 77s fans, and finally our mutual schedules miraculously opened up a tiny window of time this coming March in which to do so. I am really looking forward to bringing a large and often forgotten part of our storied musical and personal history back alive in a concert setting. Given the fact that the timing to join together for a tour like this is about as common as a solar eclipse, if you're a die-hard 77s fan or even just a casual fan who might be interested in the stories behind our older tunes, this is your chance to hear us perform them (not to mention the chance to hear us harmonize on a few oldies from the 50s and 60s.) I highly recommend that you not miss this show." ~ Michael Roe
