Event description
The Miami Mural Festival strengthens and supports community initiatives, leading to more vibrant neighborhoods.

About this event

Established to provide a platform for local and international artists, Miami Mural Festival aims to bring museum-quality artwork to the public in order to remove class based barriers often associated with art institutions.

Public works provide an opportunity to engage directly with communities, while helping to bridge social, ethnic, and racial divides and transform any block into a cultural destination.

Working with a world class roster of artists, organizations, and corporate partners, Mana Common's Mana Public Arts will organize the Miami Mural Festival. One of the main goals of the festival will be to improve the public art in Downtown/Flagler and contribute to other public art around Wynwood.

The projects in Flagler will focus on the neighborhood’s unique architecture, geographic position and walkability. The immediate goal in Flagler/Downtown is to further raise the neighborhood’s profile during the week of Art Basel. The long term goal is to transform the district in to a year round destination for lovers of public art.

MPA and its sister companies are committed to this endeavor and eager to work with other property owners, government offices, quasi governmental organizations, small businesses, non-profits, corporations and artists to make it happen.
