Miami Gridiron Cooking Challenge 2017
Sat, April 22, 2017, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM EDT
It's Cooking Time!
Join the Dairy Council of Florida as a spectator as we host a student cooking competition at the Baptist Health Training Facility at Nova Southeastern University. In collaboration with the Miami Dolphins, Baptist Health South Florida and Publix, enjoy a day of cooking, healthy activities and fun for the whole family. Four teams of chosen students will compete for the championship title by preparing a healthy, dairy-inspired recipe.
The judging panel is made up of distinguished professionals including a Publix Aprons chef (Chef Michael Casey), a Florida Dairy Farmer (Colleen Larson), a Fuel Up to Play 60 student judge (Brandon), a representative from the Miami Dolphins (Christy Denney) and the executive chef of The Bamboo Café at West Kendall Baptist Hospital (Chef Eddie Llopiz Rivera). While competing students work rigorously to prepare their recipes for the judges, guest attendees will have the chance to interact with Jay Ajayi, running back for the Miami Dolphins, Miami Dolphins' Fins Force and team cheerleaders, as well as attend activities at the Baptist Health Family Fit Fest and visit and take photos with MerryMoo, Dairy Council of Florida's mascot.
