Thank you very much for expressing interest in volunteering at the MIAMI College Prep Fair on October 27th in Miami, Florida! We have a few different options for volunteer positions and shifts. Volunteers will be assigned to one of the following duties:
- Bus Management
If you would like to be a General Volunteer, please select the Morning or Afternoon option below. Volunteers are expected to be walking or standing the entire time during their shift. There will be time for breaks, meals, etc. throughout the event. Additional information concerning volunteers will be distributed 2-3 weeks prior to the event.
If you would like to be a Volunteer Lead and manage the volunteers in your section, please select the Lead option. Leads are expected to work from 8am to 7pm on the day of the event. There will be time for breaks, meals, etc. but Leads need to be prepared for the physical demands of a long day filled with standing and walking. Leads are required to attend a training and orientation prior to the event. Additional information concerning the Lead position and training dates will be distributed 2-3 weeks prior to the event.
LEAD: 8am to 7pm
Half Day (Morning): 8am to 3pm
Half Day (Afternoon): 2pm to 7pm
What is the New Futuro College Prep Fair?
It’s everything you need to get into college, all in one place. Admission is FREE and there are fun activities and resources for all ages. Invite your parents, siblings, cousins, and friends; the more the merrier! We’ll have hundreds of bilingual representatives from universities, colleges, community organizations and exhibitors, all ready to help you get into college and beyond. And the best part? You’ll have a chance to win thousands of dollars in scholarships just by showing up!
The MIAMI College Prep Fair will be held from 10am-6pm, however shifts will begin earlier and later to accommodate for setup and teardown. We will be sending out position assignments a week prior to the event so that you will know exactly where you will be working. We will also have some talking points to review for your assigned responsibilities. You will also be given one of our Decide. Plan. Act. T-shirts to wear/keep and will have access to our staff break room stocked with snacks and lunch.
