Event Details

MIAMade's Maker Saturdays at The LAB Miami, a year-long series of workshops led by local makers and educators from a variety of STEAM disciplines, continues this month with "Smart Widgets: from Design to Manufacture".

Martin Langhoff, engineer and former CTO of One Laptop Per Child will lead an all day intensive workshop on how to get your  "Internet of Things" widget, phone, tablet or laptop from design to manufacture. Come prepared for a tour from industrial design to production line logistics, with hands-on exploration of motherboards and their bring up process.

The workshop will run from 10:30am to 4:00pm. Seating is extremely limited as we can only work with a small number of boards to make this a truly educational experience for our participants. Attendees should bring a laptop with either Windows, Linux or Mac OS X.

Tickets are $25, limited to one person per ticket, and can be purchased through Eventbrite.
