About the Event: Craft beer fans converge on Eastern Market for one of the largest all-Michigan beer tastings in the state. Tickets include 15 tasting tokens which can be exchanged for 3 oz. samples of over 500 beers locally crafted by more than 70 Michigan breweries.
Guests will also enjoy on-stage entertainment from local musicians, and a selection of food from Detroit-area brewpubs and restaurants will be available for purchase.
What is the refund policy?
Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE. The festival will occur rain or shine.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
All festival attendees must be 21 or older to enter, even if they are designated drivers and are not drinking. A valid government ID (driver's license, passport, etc.) is required for festival entry, with NO exceptions.
Where do I pick up my tokens?
You can pick up tokens from the token tent immediately after entering the festival.
Why do I need to use tokens if I already paid for a ticket?
The Michigan Brewers Guild utilizes drink tokens and specially marked cups to assure that we comply with Michigan Liquor Control Commission regulation and have a controlled means of serving beer. All festivals attendees are expected to willingly provide a token for each and every sample of beer received. Thank you for your cooperation which keeps us in compliance with state law.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There are several serface lots in the Eastern Market area as well as street parking.
Designated Driver tickets will be available at the event (non-drinking ticket), so groups are encouraged to bring a DD. Alternative transportation can be arranged through companies such as Uber and Checker Cab. Some retailers run bus tours - more info to be posted as it's received. Shuttle transportation may also be available from area hotels.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
The following items are not permitted on festival grounds: outside alcohol, glass containers, children/babies, animals, bicycles, skateboards, or rollerskates/rollerblades.
You may bring any of the following items with you to the festival: water and other non-alcoholic beverages in non-glass containers, food, backpacks, folding camp chairs, coolers.
Can I bring my baby to the festival?
Children and infants are not permitted within the festival grounds for safety reasons - both for the children and all festival guests.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes, tickets are transferrable, and you don't need to do anything special to transfer your ticket - you can simply give your ticket to another person and they'll have no trouble getting in. Each bar code will only scan one time.
Can I sell my ticket to someone else?
Yes, you are permitted to sell your ticket at face value plus whatever online Eventbrite service fee you paid. Michigan Brewers Guild does not permit scalping of tickets, which is illegal. We reserve the right to invalidate any tickets known to have been scalped.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You must bring a ticket with you to be scanned to allow you entry to the festival. This ticket can either be printed or can be the electronic version accessible on your smartphone or wireless device.
Can I buy a Designated Driver ticket and then buy tokens for drinks if I change my mind?
No. Servers will not pour beer to Designated Drivers, and anyone caught drinking on a Designated Driver ticket will be immediately ejected from the festival. If you want to drink any beer at the festival, you should plan on buying a full-price drinking ticket.
