Description

We invite you to join your fellow clinicians to learn about cutting-edge best practices in cardiovascular care. Minneapolis Heart Institute® providers will discuss topics in prevention, diagnosis, management and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and clinical support staff are welcome to attend. All events are free of charge.

• Discuss the indications and outcomes associated with the novel diabetes medications
• Define the indications and recent data supporting use of CAC scoring
• Understand the key components of the 2019 primary prevention guidelines


Valvular Diseases Update: When to Refer and Current Available Therapies at MHI

• Discuss when to refer a patient with valve disease to see a cardiologist
• Understand screening family members of a valve disease patient
• Describe therapies and investigational treatments for elderly patients with significant valve disease
