Join CGH for a lunch talk, Introduction to mHealth Innovation and Sustainable Development in Global Health: Perspectives from Botswana and Globally
Ryan Littman-Quinn
Ryan is a mobile health (mHealth) professional with eight years of experience working in both the USA healthcare and global health systems. Since 2010, he founded, managed and expanded the Botswana-UPenn Partnership (BUP) Health Informatics Program. With BUP, Ryan has directed capacity building initiatives and played a major role in the creation, implementation, research, and sustainable scale of over 20 mHealth initiatives. All projects fulfill needs within the public health care system in Botswana, ranging from remote specialist access, to public health data collection, to mobile learning (mLearning) initiatives with the recently founded University of Botswana School of Medicine, and community outreach public health screenings. With Penn Medicine, Ryan has supported research and development of innovative teledermatology and Sleep Medicine mLearning mobile applications that serve the University of Pennsylvania Health System and Perelman School of Medicine.
Ryan also has extensive mHealth consulting experience with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Kenya, Botswana), the Clinton Health Access Initiative (Botswana, South Africa), Invest in Knowledge (Malawi), Hospitalito Atitlan (Guatemala), Vignet (USA), ManGoes Mobile (USA), and Peek Vision (United Kingdom).
In March 2017 Ryan assumed a new role as the Director of Innovation and Sustainable Development at the Penn Center for Global Health mHealth Program, where he works primarily with the Health Intelligence team at Peek Vision.
