MHCGM: Stages of Change

MHCGM Conference Room | 5 Blodget Street | Manchester, NH 03102
Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM (EDT)

Description: Why is change so difficult even if the person themselves has initiated the change? As much as change might be desirable, the journey through the change process can be frightening while the uncertainly of the end results can be positively paralyzing. Our effectiveness as practitioners necessitates that we learn to identify where on a “Stages of Change” map a consumer is located, and to offer tasks that might assist them to move closer to places where recovery becomes possible. This presentation will discuss Prochaska and DiClemente’s “Stages of Change” model. Participants will learn hallmarks of each stage; stage-specific strategies to use; and treatment goals reflective of each stage. Contact Hours:  The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Northeast MultiState Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The participant will be awarded 6.0 contact hours for attending this program.  This activity has been approved for 6.0 Category I Continuing Education Credits for relicensure by the NH-NASW - Workshop #2564.  BSAS 6.0 credits Presented by: The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester, Manchester, NH

FAQs for sponsored trainings

What is this application process for?

Network4Health is pleased to purchase seats for particular events. We generally sponsor a limited number of seats, and this process allows us to track who is interested in attending so that we are able to accurately know whom we are paying for.

Does Network4Health reserve seats at these trainings?

Generally no, we don't. Instead, Network4Health will pay a training vendor per attendee after the training is over.

Once I fill out this form, does that mean I am registered for the event?

No. This is only the first step so Network4Health knows you are interested in registering for the event itself.

How do I register for the event itself?

Each event is different. Once an individual has completed this registration process, an automatic email with specific instructions on how to register for the actual event will be sent out to the email address given to us. Our staff will ensure that all those that complete the form are given the chance to register for the given event.

Will I have to pay upfront and get reimbursed later?

No. Once you have completed this registration step, you will be sent an email with specific instructions on how to register for the event itself. This may include certain steps to take to indicate Network4Health will be paying for your registration fee.

I tried to register but the event is at capacity. I thought I was guaranteed a seat?

Unfortunately Network4Health is not guaranteeing seats at trainings. We recommend that you still complete this process and register with the vendor to get on their waitlist.

What happens if I can’t attend the training after I’ve registered?

In an effort to maximize grant funds, we ask that our registrants make every effort to attend all or part of the training they registered for. If you find that you need to cancel your registration, please notify Geoff Vercauteren, Director of Workforce Development for Network4Health, at geoffrey.vercauteren@cmc-nh.org as soon as possible. It would be helpful if you have identified another staff member to go in your place.
