Started in August of 2015 as Crossfader Magazine, Merry-Go-Round Magazine had its genesis in a cramped, sweaty Santa Ana apartment with six people sharing their pop culture opinions, mostly for the benefit of themselves. Never in their wildest imaginations did they think that 10 years later it would still be chugging along. MGRM has spent that time covering everything from Sundance to Comic Con to Cannes, interviewing everyone from Militarie Gun to Joe Pera to Excene, and making niche areas of the internet mad. We’re thrilled to be celebrating with an evening of music at Permanent Records, including artists we’ve highlighted on the site in the past! Come help us celebrate 10 whole years of being an independent, online culture magazine based in Los Angeles.
