Description

Join Nikki Guerrero, owner of Hot Mama Salsa, for a Mexican inspired cooking class and dinner on Sunday, September 24th, 2017 from 6 - 9 p.m. This event is a fundraiser for the St. Johns Farmers Market, a program of the St. Johns Center for Opportunity. Here's a schedule of events for the evening:

6 p.m. - Cooking class - you'll learn how to make homemade tortillas and stuffed poblano peppers
7 p.m. - Head upstairs and enjoy all of the food you just made! Food will be served family-style, along with local craft beer and wine
8 p.m. - Hear from our guest speaker - Trudy Toliver, Executive Director of the Portland Farmers Market. Trudy will be sharing insights about happenings in the Farmers Market world, including various food justice initiatives. Plus, we'll be serving a tasty dessert.

We'll end the evening around 9 p.m. and will send you off with some great takeaways, including free salsa! All proceeds from the evening will benefit the St. Johns Farmers Market.

Space is limited for this event, since you'll be working alongside Nikki in her kitchen. Get your tickets today!
