On Wednesday, April 26th, we will be hosting yet another fun and informative precious metals session. This meeting’s speakers will be:
- Jeffrey M. Christian, Managing Partner of CPM Group - Supply and Demand Fundamentals of Platinum and Palladium - He has been a prominent analyst and advisor on precious metals and commodities markets since the 1970’s, with work spanning precious metals, energy markets, base metals, agricultural markets, and economic analysis in general. Mr. Christian is one of the most recognized experts on precious metals markets, commodities in general, and financial engineering using options for hedging and investing purposes. He is the author of a book titled Commodities Rising.
- Mike Riess, head of Materials Management Corp. – Regulatory Changes afoot that will affect us.- Mike is the head of Materials Management Corp., a consulting firm that has served the precious for over 35 years. He ran a precious metals refinery and managed commodity futures brokerage firms, and has been involved in trading and marketing a spectrum of materials. He was a long-time director of the International Precious Metals Institute. He represents the industry on advisory committees of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (Fin CEN) and the Department of Commerce. He has served as a director of several precious metals companies. He also served on the Metals Advisory Committee of the COMEX and of Columbia University’s Center for the Study of Futures Markets.
- William Furner, of Mercury Refining LLC, - Silver Oxide Battery Recycling process in the USA - William Furner has been with Mercury Refining LLC, America's #1 Recycler of Silver Oxide Batteries, for over 20 years, helping to lead the watch battery recycling operations. His experience in all aspects and phases of the battery recycling process have been a key contributing factor to Mercury Refining LLC being a pioneer and industry leader in silver oxide battery recycling, and he will be able to share information and insight on the identification and collection of the batteries, as well as packaging tips and shipping instructions. Mercury Refining LLC is a proud member of the Metro New York Chapter of the IPMI.
The fee is $50.00. As always, there is no charge to members in good standing and designated patron members. We have again secured the MOAF and Bailey for the seminar and reception. Details are as follows:
