The BC Children's Hospital Research Institute (BCCHR) and the Women's Health Research Institute (WHRI) are collaborating to host a digital health education series.

On Wednesday, June 8, between 12:00-1:00pm, we will be hosting a virtual seminar to equip learners with methods and approaches for equitable digital health innovation.

Learning Objectives.

• Gain knowledge on methods and approaches to digital health research that focus on improving health equity
• Understand the value that a focus on health equity brings to digital health research and solution development
• Identify social determinants of health and other factors that can influence access, acceptability, likelihood of adoption and ultimately the level of benefit of digital health tools for patients and families.
• Understand the importance of partnerships with diverse stakeholders in supporting the success of digital health research working towards improving health equity. This includes (but is not limited to) stakeholders affected by the digital divide such as rural and remote, indigenous, aging, and immigrant communities.

For this session, we invited presenters from two fantastic organizations putting accessibility and equitable design into practice: the Centre for Global eHealth Innovation at the University Health Network in Toronto and CTAAN, the Centre for Technology Adoption for Aging in the North.
