Phoenix Design Week is a week-long celebration of design that unites the local design community and provides a forum for sharing best practices, showcasing outstanding work, and gaining inspiration.
Method + Madness is the main event during Phoenix Design Week. It’s a two-day grassroots conference organized by community volunteers for fellow designers, illustrators, writers, and UX professionals. Method + Madness brings together world-class speakers and local experts for two full days of actionable insights, hands-on education, and fire-fueling inspiration.
For 2016, our speakers and presentations will explore the concept of Flux. As designers and creators in today's digital world, we're often called upon to bring structure to chaos and facilitate understanding. Flux is about adapting to our ever-changing roles and helping our audiences make sense of the endless flood of information, while simultaneously balancing our time, getting down to what’s important, and keeping up with a quickly evolving industry.

From now until the conference, any existing ticketholder may refer a friend and each will receive a voucher for a free M+M commemorative poster when Friend #2 gets a ticket! Be ready to enter Friend #1's ticket number on the registration form. Valid only on new ticket purchases from September 29 through October 22.
Your two-day Method + Madness conference pass also includes admission to the PHXDW kickoff party on Friday, October 21, 2016, the evening reception on Saturday, October 22, 2016, and the PHXDW closing party on Friday, October 28, 2016. Separate registration for these events is required, and links will be provided as the dates approach. One-day Method + Madness conference passes for either Saturday or Sunday, a la carte tickets to the Method + Madness workshops on Sunday afternoon, and admission to the opening and closing parties will be available individually after the Early Bird and Advance promotion periods end.

Location and Travel
For 2016 we’re returning to the beautiful Phoenix Convention Center in the heart of Downtown Phoenix. The center is within walking distance of major hotels, shopping, entertainment, restaurants, has its own dedicated stop on the METRO Light Rail line, and is about fifteen minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
For those traveling from out of town – or even for an in-town staycation – we have arranged for a very limited number of discounted rooms available at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Phoenix, conveniently located directly across the street from the entrance to the Phoenix Convention Center. To reserve a room at the discounted rate of $142 per night, you must use this link only. Do not call the hotel, the offer is only available via the online portal.
To show our support for education, faculty members may purchase tickets at Student rates. Please look for the special Faculty ticket category, enter your school and .edu email address to qualify.
Four or more attendees from the same organization are eligible to receive a 10% discount off Advance AIGA Member and Non-Member General Admission tickets through August 31, 2016, and a 15% discount off Full Price AIGA Member and Non-Member General Admission tickets from September 1, 2016 to October 21, 2016. Group discount does not apply to early bird or student tickets. Group tickets must be purchased in the same transaction, and all attendees must belong to the same organization. Individuals from separate companies or organizations may not group together in the same transaction to receive the discount. Groups may mix AIGA Member and Non-Member tickets in the same transaction. Substitutions and Cancellations
There are no refunds on ticket purchases, however, you may either:
> Transfer your registration to another person by notifying us no later than Friday, October 14, 2016. Your request must include your name and e-mail address as well as that of the person who will now be attending in your place. If you have purchased an AIGA member ticket, your substitute attendee must also be an AIGA member, additional higher ticket price may apply for non-members.
> Request a credit for a ticket to next year’s conference, by notifying us no later than Friday, October 21, 2016.

Speakers and schedule are subject to change without notice. Speakers' presentations and viewpoints are their own opinions and not necessarily reflect those of AIGA Arizona. We are not responsible for the content of every presentation; please be aware that adult language, visuals or topics may be included.
Registration to the Method + Madness Conference does not guarantee admittance to all Phoenix Design Week events. Your registration constitutes permission to use photos, audio, and video recording taken of you at the events for promotional and educational purposes in connection with Phoenix Design Week, and places you on the master Phoenix Design Week mailing list. You may opt out at any time.
AIGA Arizona has adopted the AIGA Code of Conduct with regard to all conference activities. We reserve the right to refuse admittance for violations of this Code, or other unlawful or disruptive actions. Any concerns should be addressed to the AIGA Arizona president.
