About this event
Join the chorus! Join SD Master Chorale members under the direction of Music Director John Russell, as we sing selections of Handel’s Messiah, accompanied by organist SD Master Chorale Associate Music Director Martin Green. This year, the Messiah Sing features soloists from the SD Master Chorale including soprano Carron Martin, mezzo-soprano Kaitlin Barron, tenor Daniel Moyer, and bass Matthew Fallesen.
The event begins at 3:00 PM with a festive Welcome Reception, doors open at 3:30 PM, and the performance begins at 4:00 PM. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own scores or rent one at the venue for $5. Because last year’s event sold out, everyone is encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.
Please note: masks are strongly recommended inside St Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral for Messiah Sing attendees.
Parking: free parking is available at St. Paul Senior Services located at 328 Maple St., a short 3-minute walk to the Cathedral. Additional street parking is available around St. Paul’s and across 6th Ave. at Balboa Park, accessible via Upas.
