Description

Mess Fest - The Muddy Puddles Project - is a celebration of kids being kids, in honor of those who can't. All ages are welcome to come experience being a kid again! (2 and under are free but still need to register)

At its core, The Muddy Puddles Project is a vehicle to remind parents to stop sweating the small stuff; but it is also a means to raise money for the Ty Louis Campbell (TLC) Foundation and co-fund childhood cancer research with their charity partners, Solving Kids' Cancer. After Ty lost his battle with cancer, his parents committed to finding ways to fund innovative research geared toward safer, more effective treatment of various childhood cancers.

The Muddy Puddles “Mess Fest”, in its fourth year, is unique to our area. The format for the “Mess Fest” event is similar to a carnival with various areas and a wide range activities, including the giant mud pit, messy painting, a jello food fight, a bubble pool, snacks and more!

Remember - this is a MESS FEST! Wear clothes you don't mind getting messy (a swimsuit wouldn't be a bad idea for the mud pit, but not required).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Are there age limits to enter the event?
No way! The Mess Fest is open to all ages (2 and under are free but still need to register). This event is a celebration of kids being kids, in honor of those who can't - that means kids and those willing to act like kids for a few hours!

Please note: parents/guardians/spectators need to also be registered. If you plan to get messy with your kids (we recommend you do - their smiles will make it all worth it!) please register as a participant. Grandparents/helpers/picture takers can register as spectators. Remember, 100% of the proceeds are going to childhood cancer research.

Who needs to be registered?
Everyone coming to join the Mess Fest! Anyone that will be participating in the messy activities needs to register as a participant. This includes parents and guardians playing with the young ones - which we encourage because it's way more fun!! We understand grandparents, a family friend or that crazy aunt might want to come watch too but won't be getting messy - they need a spectator ticket. Kids 2 and under are free with a paid adult participant. Together, we can support childhood cancer research!

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking is available at Tatley-Eagles Park. No transportation or shuttles will be provided to/from the event.

What can/can't I bring to the event?
Hey, show of hands, do kids like rules? That's what we thought! We kid, we kid...but you are welcome to bring most anything you think you'd need for a MESS FEST. A few recommendations to bring: clothes you don't mind getting MESSY, a change of clothing for the voyage home, a towel to wipe down, eye protection if you feel you need it for the Jello food fight, and all other summer essentials (sunblock, sunglasses, hats, water, etc). The bottom line: you are responsible for cleaning yourselves up from the crazy, fun messes, so please be sure to plan accordingly!

While we know there are many animals who would love to take a tumble in the mud, please leave all pets at home.

Is my registration/ticket transferable?
You may transfer your ticket to someone else up to one week before the event - instructions on how to do so are available here: https://goo.gl/dXNMDh

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You can if you want, but it's not necessary, we will have your name and registration info available at check-in where you will receive a wristband to access the activities or watch the fun.

Can I register the day of the event?
As long as the event isn't full, we definitely won't turn you away! However, we'd really appreciate it if you would pre-register online so we know how many people to plan for (we'd all be so sad if we ran out of Jello for the epic food fight...)

How do I get my wristband for the activities?
The lines can get long the morning of the event and we know everyone wants to get messy right away so Pre-Wristband Pick Up will be held on Friday, August 16th from 3-6pm in the lobby of Proximal50 Life Center. Can't make it on Friday? No problem, head to the orange Proximal50 tent on Saturday morning to join the Mess Fest!

What is the refund policy?
And miss out on all the messy fun and great cause?! Unfortunately, we do not have a way to refund registrations. You can transfer your registration to someone else up to one week prior to the event.

Who do I contact with questions?
Email info@proximal50.com or call 751-7797.
