Mesa De Cocina/The Kitchen Table: Tomato Scrambled Eggs
Event Information
About this event
Cooking is one of life’s greatest pleasures. But there are barriers that can keep us from eating in a way that nourishes our bodies and satisfies our tastes. Money just need not be one of them. That is why The Bros in Convo Initiative & QLatinx have partnered to relaunch in-person sessions of our collaborative Mesa De Cocina/The Kitchen Table Program.
This month join Coach Mira Cooks as she leads us through the process of making delicious Tomato Scrambled Eggs from Leanne Brown's "Good and Cheap."
- Guests will learn the nutritional value of ingredients, ingredient swaps, meal prep steps, and safe food packaging.
- Guest will receive a paperback English or Spanish copy of Good & Cheap, access to instructional videos on Facebook created by Chef Justin McLamore, and a batch of ingredients to make the recipes at home.
- Guests will also receive a free kitchen essential item and a $50 Aldi grocery gift card.
COVID-19 Policy/Procedure: Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases, the class size will be limited to allow physical distancing. All guests will be subject to a COVID prescreening and required to wear a mask at all times except for when drinking and/or eating. There will be hand sanitizer and handwashing stations throughout the space.
Parking: Parking at the venue is on the right side of The Foundry Church next to the children's playground area. The entrance to the 5 Loaves Kitchen is to the right of the children's playground area.
