What is the Mentoring South Coast Musicians Folk Orchestra?
From January to June 2017, the South Coast Folk Society will host the Mentoring South Coast Musicians Project. This project is supported in part by a grant from the Oregon Cultural Trust. The musicians of the South Coast Folk Society will work intensively with artists from "The Portland Collection: Contra Dance Music in the Pacific Northwest" Sue Songer & Betsy Branch. This will culminate in a gala weekend featuring a dance and concert June 10-11, 2017. We’re also grateful for funding from the Oregon Community Foundation’s Creative Heights Grant. Additional support from the Country Dance & Song Society makes this possible.
