Lindsey HirschornTITLE Lindsey Hirschorn Shares Her Story of Recovering from Anorexia & Bulimia

DATE: Wednesday, April 9, 2014

TIME: 8-9pm CST/7-8pm MST/6-7pm PST/9-10pm EST

DESCRIPTIONLindsey’s passion for eating disorder recovery came after a long battle with anorexia, bulimia and exercise bulimia.  In this teleconference Lindsey will recount how difficult the initial phases of recovery were for her, particularly as she continued to feel so out of control yet struggled to prove to everyone else how quickly she could get better.  Her challenge was to relinquish her daily “all or nothing” battles with food in favor of a healthy, balanced life that could include relationships, a career, friends, and all the things she dreamed of experiencing.

Lindsey’s turning point in recovery was when she realized recovery was for her and no one else. She was sick of the person she had become and wanted to change.   Lindsey eventually found the strength and courage in her recovery to learn how to eat intuitively. Today, Lindsey proudly practices and promotes a healthy attitude toward food and giving her body what it needs.

If you are still looking for your own "turning point," attending this teleconference might be just what you need to find your deepest motivation to recovery for good!

BIO Lindsey Hirschorn overcame a personal battle with anorexia and bulimia to become a mentor and leader for those struggling with recovery, and serve on the MentorConnect board of directors. In addition to volunteering with MentorConnect, Lindsey works at a major motion picture studio in Hollywood and is also a NEDA Navigator. In her free time, Lindsey loves hiking, yoga-ing, cooking, baking and watching HGTV and Food Network at home, where she resides with her fiance and their four bamboo plants.
