Description

TCOLE Mental Health Peace Officer Certification Course 4001. The purpose of the Mental Health Officer course is to further inform and educate the officer in the area of the mental health and issues pertaining to serving as a mental health officer, to include advanced crisis intervention. The class is taught by TCOLE Instructor Christina O'Rear. Detective O'Rear has 23 years of law enforcement experience. She works with the MHMR Law Liaison Program and is a member of the Tarrant County Mental Health/Criminal Justice Stakeholder Committee. Detective O'Rear is also the coordinator for the Grapevine Police Department Peer Support and Critical Incident Stress Management Team and a co-coordinator of the DFW First Responders CISM Network.

Law Enforcement Employees Only - Sworn and Non-Sworn (Police, Jailers, Dispatchers, Records, CSI, Animal Control)

CPR protion provided by Grapevine FD and will require a $20.00 fee (only needed if you do not have current CPR certification) The $20.00 fee is for a wallet card. If you don't need a wallet card then the training is free.
