Event description

Description

Join us at Indy Reads Books as Seattle-based graphic novelist Ellen Forney discusses her memoir "Marbles: Mania, Depression, Michelangelo and Me." The panel discussion will also include Kimberly Comer of NAMI Indiana and Dave Combs of the Department of Public Words.

Ellen will be available for a book signing after the discussion.

Prior to the discussion, beginning at 6pm, join us for a community mural painting project. We'll work together to create a mural designed by Ellen Forney that will hang alongside the Jiffy Lube location at Allisonville Road and 82nd Street.

This discussion and mural painting project is presented by Jiffy Lube of Indiana in partnership with the Department of Public Words, Indy Reads Books, and NAMI Indiana. Jiffy Lube of Indiana is a proud supporter of the Indianapolis arts community.

This event is FREE. We are also accepting an optional $5 donation. All donations will be split 50/50 between Indy Reads and the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) Indiana.
