Mental Health First Aid Training
No More Martyrs in partnership with Saint John Ame Church was awarded a 2016 Community Health Innovation Award (CHIA) from One Great Community the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Center for Clincial and Translational Science to administer the Mosaic Mental Health Awareness Project. With this award, No More Martyrs will partner with churches in the Birmingham, Alabama area to provide Mental Health First Aid training and facilitate on-site mental health support groups.
Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis. More than 660,000 people across the United States have been trained in Mental Health First Aid. Learn more at www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org.

This is an 8-hour training scheduled for:
- Sunday, January 22nd (8:00am - 5:00pm) *Breakfast and Lunch Provied*
- Consumer or Caregivers : Free (Consumers are individuals living with mental health concerns. Caregivers are individuals caring for someone living with mental health concerns)
- High School or College Students : $10.00
- Senior Citizens : $10.00
- General Admission : $25.00
