Join us for our upcoming Youth Mental Health First Aid training event in Crawfordsville sponsored by Franciscan. Lunch will be provided, send any dietary needs to Denise Walker at dbw@vmhmc.org.

  • Introduces common mental health challenges of youth.
  • Reviews typical adolescent development.
  • Teaches a 5-step action plan to help young people in crisis and non-crisis situations.
  • Topics covered include anxiety, depression, substance use, disorders in which psychosis may occur, disruptive behavior disorders. (Including AD/HD and eating disorders)

This program provides essential information and training for adults who interact with children on a regular basis:

  • Parents, family members and caregivers
  • Teachers and counselors
  • Health and Human Services workers
  • Any adult interacting with an adolescent in crisis
