Mental Health Awareness Walk & Fair
Sun, May 7, 2017, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM EDT
This May, in celebration of Mental Health Month, Mental Health Connecticut (MHC) is highlighting the journey young adults take toward achieving a healthier self. To kick the month off, we are teaming up with Rachel Prior, a student at Goodwin College, to present our first ever Mental Health Awareness Walk & Fair!
For the Mental Health Awareness Walk & Fair, Rachel and her committee are bringing together young adults, their families, and friends from across the state to take steps together to improve whole health in a variety of fun and creative ways!
We’re lining up some fun ways to entertain event goers that include:
- Tunes by DJ Malik Gordon - to pump up our energy for the walk and all morning!
- Free, live performance by Sea Tea Improv
- Therapy dogs
- Food trucks
- Wellness activities and information provided by local vendors
If you are interested in sponsoring this event or having an exhibit table, please visit www.mhconn.org/events/fair for more information.
